Email from Larry B. Luedke

I requested that the United States Government place a Vetrans bronze symbol and metal post next to Wendelin's grave as he is entitled to one serving in the Civil War. I was notified last week by telephone that the Government verified Wendelin's service in the Civil War and that a bronze symbol and metal post would be sent to me so I could install the symbol. It arrived today and I immediately installed it. I took a picture of it with the American flag attached. I am thrilled , as an American citizen, to have Wendelin honored for his service to his country.
